Got this recipe from an anthropologist friend in Arizona, and given the use of canned product, it is said to date to the 1920s to early 30s. Spicy and hearty! Serve with hot tortillas.

I'm not a big fan of spicy food, so I omitted the chili peppers. The stew was still flavorful and delicious.

Not a fan of corn, but this stew was surprisingly good! The smokiness of the peppers balanced out the sweetness of the corn perfectly. Will definitely make this again.

Tried this recipe and it was a bit bland for my taste. Maybe I didn't add enough spices. Will try again with some adjustments.
