Home-Style French Dressing image

This was the house dressing in a local restaurant several years ago and has long been a family favorite. We like it over salad greens and fresh vegetables.

Yield 2-1/2 cups.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 medium onion, quartered
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons salt

Steps:

  • In a food processor or blender, puree onion and lemon juice until smooth. Add ketchup, oil, vinegar, sugar and salt; blend until smooth. Store in the refrigerator.
