Holiday Sweet Potato & Apple Casserole image

This was a huge success at Thanksgiving Dinner...not one bite left! Apples give these sweet potatoes a new twist! A nice company dish that can be prepared a day ahead, refrigerated, and baked just before serving. Cooking time does not include pre-baking sweet potatoes.

I made this casserole for a holiday party and it was a disaster! The sweet potatoes were undercooked and the topping was too dry. I was so embarrassed.

This casserole was a bit too sweet for my taste, but my family loved it. I think I'll try making it with less sugar next time.
