HEARTY CHILI image

Number Of Ingredients 19

1/4 c olive oil
2 c diced vidalia onions
2 c diced sweet red, yellow and orange peppers
3 tbsp minced garlic
1.5 # ground beef
1 # hot breakfast sausage
4 x 14.5 oz cans petite diced tomatoes
1 c chopped carrots
2 14.5 oz cans beans, drained and rinsed
2 c Clamato, tomato juice, or soup concentrate
1/2 c chili powder
2 tbsp cumin seed
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp beef boullion concentrate (or 3 cubes)
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1/4 c worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Tabasco
6 oz beer (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in large skillet. Cook onions and peppers until soft. Add garlic and saute about 2 minutes, then add ground beef and sausage. Cook throughly, then drain of all liquids. Add to crockpot, with all remaining ingredients. Simmer in crock several hours. Enjoy!
