I baked the crisp for a few minutes longer than the recipe called for. The crisp turned out a little more crispy, which I liked.

I made this crisp in a 9x13 inch baking dish instead of an 8x8 inch dish. The crisp still turned out great, but it was a little thinner.

I used a different variety of apples than the recipe called for. The crisp still turned out great, so I think you can be flexible with the type of apples you use.

I'm not a big fan of hazelnuts, so I substituted walnuts instead. The crisp still turned out great.

The crisp was a little dry. I think I would add a little more butter to the oat topping next time.

This crisp was a little too sweet for my taste. I think I would reduce the amount of sugar in the apple filling next time.

I followed the recipe exactly and the crisp turned out perfectly. The only thing I would change is to add a little more cinnamon to the apple filling.

The flavors in this crisp were amazing. The apples were perfectly tart and the hazelnuts added a nice nutty flavor. The oat topping was the perfect finishing touch.
