1 1/2 lbs beef flank steak, cut into thin slices and pounded
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
cooked rice noodles
1 teaspoon ginger (julienned)
3 cloves garlic (cut in halves)
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 lb dry roasted peanuts (smashed in mortar and pestle)
1 lb bean sprouts (blanched in hot water)
1/2 head lettuce (chopped)
1/2 cup basil
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2 cup mint

Steps:

  • Heat 2 tblspns oil in frying pan.
  • Add 2 cloves of chopped garlic.
  • Add beef and fry.
  • Serve beef over:.
  • rice noodles, herbs, lettuce, bean sprouts.
  • Top with:.
  • peanuts and add Nuoc Mam Cham sauce.
