Hamburger Pie Casserole image

A simple meat and taters casserole; very old recipe; everything is kind of from scratch. I am sure you could use instant potatoes and canned beans. There are instructions on what to do if you want biscuits on this. In the old days they did that a lot. Just use your own biscuit recipe if you want to add them. This is going to be bland. Mid Westerners like their food that way; add more spices if you like.

I made this casserole for a potluck and it was a huge success. Everyone loved it! I especially liked the crispy cheese topping.

This casserole was a huge hit with my family! The combination of ground beef, vegetables, and mashed potatoes was hearty and filling. The ketchup and mustard added a nice tangy flavor. I will definitely be making this again.

This casserole was a little too bland for my taste. I added some extra spices and it was much better. I also used a different type of cheese, which I think made a big difference.

I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. I used a blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheese, which I think made it extra cheesy and delicious.

This casserole was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I think I would have liked it more if I had used a different type of cheese.

This is one of my favorite recipes. It's so easy to make and always turns out delicious. I love that I can use leftover mashed potatoes to make it even easier.

This casserole was a huge disappointment. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and the ground beef was dry. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

This casserole was a little too time-consuming for me. I ended up using a pre-made mashed potato mix to save time. It still turned out good, but I think it would have been better if I had made the mashed potatoes from scratch.

I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. The only thing I would change is to use a different type of cheese. I used cheddar, but I think a mozzarella or a blend of cheeses would be better.

I'm not a big fan of hamburger helper, but this casserole was surprisingly good. The mashed potatoes added a creaminess that I really enjoyed. I'll definitely be making this again.
