Ham bone green beans image

These are fresh green beans cooked with a leftover ham bone.

leftover ham bone
1-2 lb fresh green beans, (or fresh frozen)
1/2 c sweet onion, sliced
1 tsp black pepper
4 c water
1 clove garlic, minced

Steps:

  • 1. Cut stem ends off of fresh beans. Place ham bone in large pot, add beans, onion, garlic, blk. pepper & water.
  • 2. Simmer till beans are tender.
