Ground Beef and Pork and Bean Casserole image

This is an old family recipe that is quick and easy to make. Kids will eat it up. It's good with salad, rolls or just by itself.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup green bell pepper, diced
1 small yellow onion, diced
2 (29 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
1/3 teaspoon dry mustard (optional)
2 tablespoons sugar
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Brown ground beef, onion, and bell pepper until beef is browned and veggies are tender.
  • In an oven safe baking dish (we use an oven safe glass bowl) combine pork and beans, tomato soup, dry mustard, sugar, and salt and pepper.
  • Drain ground beef mixture and add to bean mixture. Stir well.
  • Bake for 40 minutes.
