Quick and easy recipe for the grill! I can usually find swordfish steaks at the fish market reasonably priced, so this is often done at my house.

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 c butter
2 Tbsp dijon mustard
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp dried dillweed
1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
6 swordfish steaks (6 ounces each, 3/4 inch thick)

Steps:

  • 1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the mustard and the next 4 ingredients. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • 2. Grill the steaks covered, over hot coals (400 to 500 degrees F) for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Baste the fish frequently with the butter mixture while the fish is grilling.

This recipe was a bit too bland for my taste. I added some extra spices to the fish and sauce and it was much better. Overall, it was a good recipe but it could use some more flavor.
