Grilled Ginger Lamb Satays With Thai Sauce image

Spicy lamb satays with a lime,chili thai sauce. This recipe comes from the Australian lamb website. Times do not inlude 2-3 hrs. marinade time. I am posting ZWT5.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 1/2 lbs lamb steaks (cut in strips)
1 tablespoon ginger (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon fish sauce
3 teaspoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons coriander (chopped)
1 dried red chili pepper (seeded & finely chopped)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (toasted-optional)
jasmine rice (steamed)

Steps:

  • Combine lamb strips with gingr,garlic,sugar,fish sauce & sesame oil, refrigerate & marinate for 2-3 hours.
  • Thread lamb onto 8 bamboo skewers that have been soaked for 30 minute.
  • While lamb is in marinade, prepare dipping sauce.
  • Combine lime juice, chili sauce,corinader & chill.
  • Heat barbecue and cook skewers and cook for 3-4 minute on each side or until lamb is cooked.
  • Serve sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds (optional) and dipping sauce and steamed jasmine rice.
