GREEN TOMATO PIE WITH APPLES image

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 cups peeles, cored & sliced apples.
2 cups Peeled and sliced green tomatoes
2/3 cups brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3tbs flour
1 & 1/2 tps cinnamon
1/2 tps allspice
1 tps grated lemmon rind
2 tbs real butter
pastry for two 9" pie crusts

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 450 degrees Combine apples. spices, sugars. flour. & lemmon rind Stir to blend. Pour into pastry lined pie plate. Dot with butter. Place top crust on & seal the edges. Cut decoratives vents into top crust. Fork or use cookie cutters. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, reduse heat to 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
