Green Salad with Basil Leaves image

Peppery basil is an easy way to enliven a standard green salad. To cut basil, stack a few basil leaves (of similar size). Roll into a tight cylinder; with a sharp knife, slice crosswise into thin strips.

This salad was a bit too simple for my taste. I think it would have been better with some added protein, like grilled chicken or shrimp.
