Steps:
- Procedure Heat oven to 400 degrees Place pecans in a pan and toast in oven until lightly brown. Remove from oven and place in a skillet with one T. melted butter and 2 T. maple syrup. Coat pecans evenly and remove from skillet. Melt the remaining 2 T of butter in skillet and sauté scallions or shallots, red pepper flakes and orange zest until shallots are softened. The add flour and combine. Toss in green beans. Reduce heat slightly and add chicken broth and orange juice. Coat the beans; then cover and cook for about 4 minutes or until tender. Uncover and cook another 3-4 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the beans are glazed. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with pecans.
