Green Beans Light and Flavorful image

Even though these are canned green beans, they don't taste like it. No one ever suspects these are canned. I always get rave reviews. If you like crispier green beans, you could use fresh or frozen and adjust the cooking time. I hope you like them.

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 can(s) italian style green beans
2 tsp dry minced onions
1 large chicken bouillon cube
2 can(s) water

Steps:

  • 1. Open cans of beans. Pour off the liquid, it tends to have a canned flavor. Rinse green beans in can twice to get all that flavor off. Pour off water. Pour green beans in a medium size saucepan. Cover with two cans of water.
  • 2. Add the chicken bouillon cube and dry minced onions. Cover and bring to a boil on high. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 30 to 45 minutes. That's it. Enjoy!

I thought these green beans were just okay. They were a little too oily for my taste.

These green beans were a little bland for my taste. I think I'll add some extra seasoning next time.

I'm not a big fan of green beans, but these were actually pretty good. The lemon and garlic gave them a nice flavor.
