Green Beans ala Bill image

My late brother in law, made these wonderful savory green beans every Thanksgiving and taught me how, They taste like fresh snapped beans made country style! Hard to believe they are from a can!

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 can(s) large cans hanover green beans
2 qt swanson chicken broth
1 tsp salt and pepper
3/4 c ham chips or ham hock

Steps:

  • 1. Open and drain all of the juice out of beans over a colander, rinse the beans well
  • 2. Pour the beans into a large pot on the stove and cover with the chicken broth, add the ham and seasonings, bring to a slow boil, reduce and simmer for 2 hrs , for best flavor.
