Steps:
- Peel, core, and slice apple into french-fry shaped sticks. In a bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Dip apples in buttermilk, then lightly coat with cornstarch. Shake off excess cornstarch, and immediately deep fry in hot cooking oil until golden brown. Drain apple fries on a paper towel and sprinkle with sugar mixture. To make dipping sauce, beat cream adding sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Garnish with cinnamon.
