GRANNY MILLER'S POUND CAKE
My mother used to make this pound cake for Granny Miller back in the 60's. She wasn't really our grandmother but all the kids in the neighborhood called her Granny Miller. Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
- 2. Cream butter well; gradually add sugar; beat well after each addition. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla
- 3. Sift flour, measure and add by folding in a little at a time by hand.
- 4. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan (Mama always put wax paper in her tube pan). Pour in batter and bake at 350º about 45 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.
- 5. Cool before removing from pan.
