For as long as I can remember, my Grandpa Dennis made this recipe for any get together, special occasion or potluck. Now, we make it to take to potlucks and there is NEVER any left. It's quick and easy, simmer a few hours and it's ready to go. Love this!!!!!

[email protected]I love that this recipe is so versatile. I've made it with different types of sausages, onions, and peppers, and it always turns out great. I also like to experiment with different types of whiskey. My favorite so far is a smoky single malt.

[email protected]I made a few modifications to this recipe to make it a bit healthier. I used low-fat sausages, and I omitted the butter. The weiners were still delicious, and I didn't feel guilty about eating them.
