1/2 cup shortning
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 t salt
1 t soda
3 cups oats
1 cup raisins

Steps:

  • cream together shortning and sugars, beat in eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add flour salt and soda into creamed mixture. stir in oats, raisins and form small balls and place on sheets 350 for about 12 min or till light brown.
