GRANDMA'S GOULASH image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 c. oil
3 med. onions
1 tbsp Hungarian Paprika
1 tsp salt
1 sm. pepper (green or hot)
1 tomatoe or 1 Tbsp ketchup)
Potatoes
Dumplings -
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk

Steps:

  • Brown onions in oil, add salt and paprika. Add chicken and Cook chicken in water to cover. Add tomatoes and potatoes. Cook til soft. Make paste from adding 1 tbsp flour to water, gradually add to goulash to thicken. Dumplings - To flour add salt, add eggs and milk. Mix well. Boil water in saucepan and add 1/2 tsp salt to water. Drop by tsp into water and cook until they all float. Serve with goulash.
