I found this recipe 20 years ago in my mom's recipe box. It was a very old newspaper clipping, but I don't recall her ever making them. I updated it a bit and baked a cookie that my friend named by saying, "Oh, I've died and gone to heaven!"

Steps:
- Cream butter until fluffy.
- Add the sugars slowly and beat well.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and beat well.
- On a sheet of waxed paper thoroughly combine the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.
- Add to the butter mix, stirring just until blended.
- Stir in toffee bits, coconut, chips, and pecans.
- Drop the dough by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 10-12 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven until lightly brown around the edges.
- Let them cool on the sheets a bit before removing to wire racks.
