Yield Serves 4

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pound radishes, trimmed
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley leaves

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan wide enough to hold the radishes in one layer cook the radishes in the butter with the sugar and the salt over moderately low heat, stirring, for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup water, simmer the radishes, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are tender, and boil them, uncovered, shaking the pan occasionally, until the liquid has been reduced to a glaze. Cook the radishes over moderate heat, swirling them, until they are coated with the glaze and sprinkle them with the parsley.

These glazed radishes were the perfect side dish for my roasted chicken. They were flavorful and colorful, and they added a nice touch of sweetness to the meal.

These radishes were a bit bland. I think I'll add some more spices next time.

I'm not usually a fan of radishes, but these glazed radishes were surprisingly good. The glaze really mellowed out the radish's peppery flavor and made them much more palatable.

I didn't have any radishes on hand, so I used turnips instead. They turned out great! The turnips were just as tender and flavorful as the radishes would have been.

These radishes were a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try using less sugar next time.

I followed the recipe exactly and the radishes came out perfect. The glaze was flavorful and the radishes were tender and slightly crispy. I served them as a side dish with grilled chicken and they were a hit.

These glazed radishes were a delightful surprise! I love radishes, but I've never had them prepared like this before. The glaze added a wonderful sweetness and depth of flavor that really complemented the radish's peppery bite. I will definitely be m
