When I was stationed in Germany in 1980, this recipe was given to me by my unit commander's wife (Karen Earlewine). You can substitute cut-up hot dogs for the cocktail franks.

1 tsp ground ginger
1 Tbsp brown sugar
2-3 lb cocktail franks or little smokies

I've tried making these glazed cocktail franks a few times, but I can never seem to get the glaze right. It always ends up being too runny.
