- 1. IN A SAUCEPAN COMBINE 1/4 CUP BUTTER, 1/2 CUP MILK, 1/2 CUP CREAM N 1/2 CUP SUGAR. HEATING TILL BUTTER IS MELTD STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. IN A SMALL BOWL WHISK TOGETHER CORNSTARCH 2 TBLSP. OF MILK N VANILLA. STIR INTO SAUCEPAN UNTIL THICKENED, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT N COOL SLIGHTLY.
- 2. IN A MEDIUM BOWL COMBINE PEELED, SLICED APPLES WITH FLOUR, CINNAMON. MIX WELL.
- 3. PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES. FILL A PIE CRUST WITH APPLES, THEN POUR CREAM MIXTURE OVER N AROUND APPLES. TOP WITH SECOND CRUST SEAL N FLUTE EDGES. (IF CRUST BREAKS USE UR FINGERS DIPPD IN A LITTLE WARM WATER N SMOOTH TOGETHER) CUT THREE SLITS ONTOP CRUST.
- 4. BAKE FOR 30-40 MINUTES (SINCE EACH OVEN IS DIFFERENT CHECK @ 30 MINUTES...OK IF DARK GOLDEN COLOR) COOL FOR ATLEAST 30 MINUTES.
- 5. IN A SMALL BOWL COMBINE CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, 1 TBLSPN. SOFTEND BUTTER, 1 TBLSPN. MILK, N 1/2 TSP VANILLA N 1/8 TSP. OF CINNAMON - BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH THEN SPREAD ALL OVER PIE....NOW FOR THE PATIENCE.... REFRIGERATE FOR ATLEAST 6 HOURS TO OVERNIGHT...THEN ENJOY :)
