Ginger Shrimp image

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
1 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/2 c water
1 Tbsp mirin
2 tsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp each sugar and dark sesame oil
1/2 tsp garlic chili paste
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion diced
4 clove garlic minced

Steps:

  • 1. Place the shrimp in a bowl and add the ginger, salt, and white pepper and marinate 30 minutes. Mix the water and next 6 ingredients together and set aside.
  • 2. In a large skillet add the oil and add the shrimp and stir fry 2 minutes. Remove to a plate and set aside. Add the onion and garlic stir fry 1 minute. Add the shrimp back to pan and add the water mixture and bring to a boil.
  • 3. once thickened add the shrimp back into the pan. Cook 1 minute
