Gin: Southside Fizz image

The fizz comes from the soda. The buzz comes from the gin. The cool comes from the muddled mint.

Mint leaves
1 1/2 tablespoons simple syrup
1/4 cup gin
Lemon juice
1 glass of ice
Club soda
Garnish: more mint

Steps:

  • Muddle mint leaves and simple syrup in a mixing glass; add the gin and lemon juice; shake. Strain into a glass of ice and finish with club soda. Garnish: more mint.
