Our kids typically don't care for cabbage, but they can't get enough of this dish. I often put this stew on the stove before doing chores so we can come inside to a hearty meal.

This recipe is a great starting point, but I think it could be improved with a few tweaks. I would add more vegetables, and I would also brown the meat before stewing it.

This stew was a bit too bland for my taste. I think I'll add some more spices next time.

I'm not a big fan of sauerbraten, but this recipe changed my mind. The stew was hearty and flavorful, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my stew turned out a bit too sour. I think I'll reduce the amount of vinegar next time.
