Number Of Ingredients 11

1 box Crispix or Chex cereal
1/2 bags Pretzel Sticks
1/4 box Honey Comb cereal
1/2 bags Bugles
1/2 box Honey Nut Cheerios
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Karo Syrup or any light corn syrup
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil
2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 bottle Furikake Seaweed and Seasame Seed Seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven at 250 degrees
  • In a sauce pan, heat butter, corn syrup, vegetable oil, soy sauce and sugar, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.
  • Pour cereal into a foil baking pan and toss. If you plan to reuse the baking pan, line it with foil before because cereal does get stuck on the bottom.
  • Pour butter-syrup mixture over the cereal and toss gently.
  • Sprinkle furikake evenly and toss.
  • Bake at 250 for 1 hour, tossing ever 15 mins.
  • Cool and store in an air-tight container
  • You can substitute the cereal and chips with your favorites; I use whatever I have in the cabinet. I've done different mixes with Cheerios, Bugles, honey-roasted peanuts, etc., "broke the mouth," deliciousness!

The Furikake Chex Mix was a bit too salty for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I think next time I'll use less furikake seasoning.
