I've tried a lot of different recipes for fudge-topped shortbread bars, but this one is my favorite. The shortbread crust is the perfect balance of crumbly and chewy, and the fudge topping is rich and chocolatey without being too sweet.

I'm not a baker, but I was able to make these bars with no problem. They were delicious and everyone at my potluck loved them.

These bars were a huge disappointment. The shortbread crust was dry and crumbly, and the fudge topping was too sweet and齁 saveur. I wouldn't recommend this recipe.

I had some trouble getting the shortbread crust to come together. I had to add a little extra flour. Other than that, the recipe was easy to follow and the bars turned out great.

These bars were a bit too sweet for my taste, but they were still good. I think I would use less sugar in the fudge topping next time.
