these cookies were some of my favorites as child, my granma always made them for christmas or sometimes just because i begged her for them. :)

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 c shortning
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
3 eggs
4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
2 c fruit cocktail (drained)
1 c raisins (optional)
1 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. cream together white sugars and eggs together, until light
  • 2. mix dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture
  • 3. add fruit cocktail, raisens, and vanilla
  • 4. drop by teaspoon full on a greased cookie sheet
  • 5. bake at 350 until lightly brown, remove and cool
