Time 3h

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c pinto beans
4 slice bacon chopped up
1 small onion chopped
1 tsp fresh chopped garlic
1 Tbsp salt.
1 Tbsp black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. soak beans overnight, I use a 4 quart pot, add beans, chopped onions, cut bacon pieces, garlic, bring to a boil, cover and turn heat down so the beans are still boiling...until done..
  • 2. in a frying pan add manteca lard, and heat, then add flour brown flour until golden brown, and pour this into boiling beans...make it as thin or thick by reducing or using more flour, I like mine with a thicker juice, so I can scoop my tortilla in it....
