French-Toast Apple Bake image

This is a great make-ahead breakfast that will fill your home with the holiday aromas of cinnamon, spice and apples. It is a "soak overnight" casserole that mimics the flavors of french toast. Call it bread pudding if you like, but I know you'll call it delicious. It makes holiday morning cooking a breeze. I think I must have gotten this recipe from Taste of Home.

This was my first time making French toast apple bake and it turned out great! I was a little worried that it would be too sweet, but it was actually perfect. The apples added a nice sweetness and the cinnamon gave it a warm flavor.

I'm not a huge fan of apples, but I still enjoyed this French toast apple bake. The bread was cooked perfectly and the apples were soft and tender. I would definitely make this again, but I might use a different fruit next time.

The French toast apple bake was a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I would have preferred it with less sugar.
