Steps:
- 1. Lightly grease twelve 2 1/2" muffin cups; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, the 1/2 c. sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. 2. In another bowl, beat egg slightly; stir in milk and 1/3 c melted butter. Add egg mixture to the flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter may be lumpy). 3. Fill prepared muffin cups about 2/3 full with batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden. 4. Meanwhile, in a shallow bowl, combine the 1/4 c sugar and cinnamon. Immediately dip tops of the hot muffins into the 1/4 c melted butter, then into the cinnamon-sugar mixture till coated. Serve warm.
