3/4 cup honey
1/2 vanilla bean, split and scraped
1 1-inch piece ginger, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
5 black plums, pitted and sliced
5 red plums, pitted and sliced
8 figs

I'm not a huge fan of fruit salads, but this one was really good. The five-spice powder gave it a nice kick.

This fall fruit salad was a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors. The five-spice powder added a unique and aromatic touch that complemented the fruits perfectly. I especially loved the combination of apples, pears, and grapes.
