2 pkg (pans) small dinner rolls (i use mrs. schubert's)
3/4 lb each, ham and turkey (deli sliced thin)
8-12 oz shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella or 3-cheese mix)

  • 1. Melt together the mustard, sugar, margarine (or butter if you prefer) and poppy seeds.
  • 2. Cut rolls in half with an electric or bread knife.

These rolls were a bit too dense for my taste. I think I would use a different type of flour next time.

I've tried many dinner roll recipes and this one is by far the best. The rolls are always soft and fluffy, and the filling is so flavorful.

I substituted ground turkey for the ground beef and they were still delicious. I also added some chopped fresh herbs to the filling.
