Festive Holiday Fruitcake Bark image

Every year I make brandy-soaked dried fruit for fruitcake, but I always make too much. When I tried turning the extras into candy, the result was a sweet and colorful bark for grown-ups. -Susan Bickta, Kutztown, Pennsylvania

This bark is too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try making it with a different kind of fruitcake next time.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my bark turned out too hard. I think I might have overcooked the chocolate.

I'm not a huge fan of fruitcake, but I really enjoyed this bark. The chocolate and nuts helped to balance out the sweetness of the fruitcake.
