Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 c extra virgin olive oil
1 lb turkey sausage, hot or sweet, removed from casing
10 oz cremini mushrooms, coursely chopped
10 oz frozen peas
1 lb farfalle pasta
1/2 c grated parmesan or romano cheese
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. In a large saute pan over high heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season turkey with salt and pepper. Add turkey and saute breaking any large lumps until golden brown. Add two more tablespoons of olive oil and add chopped mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Saute until all the liquid from the mushrooms has evaporated, about 5 minutes. Add the peas and saute for 4 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  • 2. When water comes to a boil, add the farfalle. Cook until al dente. Drain in a colander (save some of the pasta water) or use a spider to remove pasta from the pot and add to the pan with the turkey mixture. Gently heat over medium heat for 5 minutes. Drizzle with remaining olive oil. Add some of the pasta water to the mixture to coat.
  • 3. Turn off the heat and add the grated cheese. Serve with additional cheese over top if you like.

I added some chopped spinach to this recipe and it was delicious! It's a great way to get your veggies in.

I'm not a fan of turkey sausage, so I used ground beef instead. It was still really good!

This recipe is too complicated. I don't have time for all those steps.

I followed the recipe exactly and my dish turned out really watery. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

I'm not a big fan of turkey sausage, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this dish. The flavors all came together really well and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

This pasta dish was a hit with my family! The turkey sausage added a nice savory flavor and the sun-dried tomatoes gave it a pop of tanginess. I also liked that the recipe was easy to follow and didn't require a lot of ingredients.
