Fancy Beanie-Weenies image

A very kid-friendly meal. Basically I took regular ol' "Beanie Weenies" (hot dogs & beans) and added to them to make it a more 'acceptable' dish for the grown-ups in the house. Ha ha! In the picture I didn't include the cheese on top, simply because I had none available, but the cheese would be delicious! ** This recipe...

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 hot dogs, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
1 can(s) tomato soup
1 can(s) stewed tomatoes, cut up smaller
1 can(s) baked beans, any style
2 tsp garlic
1 Tbsp onion, minced, dried
1 Tbsp italian seasoning
1 c small shells macaroni
grated cheese, cheddar or parmesan for topping (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Cook macaroni as directed on package. Drain.
  • 2. Add macaroni and all other ingredients, except cheese (if using), into a large saucepan. Heat through & simmer for 20 mins, stirring occasionally.
  • 3. Serve in bowls with cheese sprinkled on top, if using.
