This recipe was served at the McLeod Family Reunion in Florida, circa 1997. They said they'd been making them for years and no one knew where the recipe originally came from. Easy to do and just delicious!

I'm not usually a fan of coconut, but I really enjoyed these cookies. The coconut flavor is very subtle and it pairs perfectly with the chocolate chips.

I added some chocolate chips to the batter and they were delicious! The chocolate chips melted in the oven and created gooey pockets of chocolate in the cookies.
