ENGLISH TOFFEE image

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 stick butter
1 c sugar
1 Tbsp water
THE FIRST THREE INGREDIENTS WILL BE COOKED TOGETHER
1 bag of chocolate chips
1 bag of chopped walnut or pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Grease a cookie sheet with at least a 1/4 inch lip with butter ensure all side and bottom is completly covered, (or as we called it a jelly roll pan). Cook and stir the first 3 ingredients until brown paper sack color or hard crack stage on candy thermometer.
  • 2. Pour mixture onto the buttered cookie sheet. Spread out until all is evenly spread. While mixture is still hot put chocolate chips on top and spread out. Sprinkle nuts on top of warm chips. When Well chilled break up into small pieces.
