ELLEN GITTLEMAN'S MILAN SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 20

1 1/2 heads of iceberg lettuce, chopped
2 cucumbers, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 1/2 pounds cooked shrimp cut in half**
1 pound cooked bacon, very crisp
3 hard boiled eggs, grated
**Trader Joes sells frozen cooked shrimp, look for "salad" shrimp, if not, get the smallest ones and cut them in half.
Dressing:
Equal parts of Mayo and ketchup, start with one cup of each (should be dark pink in color)
1/2 lemon squeezed
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 or 2 cloves garlic crushed or garlic powder
3 Tablespoons relish
cayenne pepper
salt
pepper
Tabasco sauce
paprika
Mix all ingredients together, season to your taste
If you make too much, the excess dressing keeps for weeks in refrigerator
