Time 25m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 slices bread
4 slices pre-cooked ham
4 slices swiss cheese (I recommend Baby Swiss)
4 large eggs, separated

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly toast bread slices and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy clean up.
  • Top each slice of bread with a slice of ham; top ham with a slice of cheese.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites in a mixing bowl until fluffy and stiff peaks have formed.
  • Mound egg whites attractively atop each slice of bread, forming a well in the center. Slide an egg yolk into the center of each egg white well.
  • Place cookie sheet in the center of oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the egg whites are lightly golden and egg yolks are just set (egg yolks will be over-easy to over-medium in doneness).
  • Remove cookie sheet from oven. Plate immediately and serve warm.

These were not good. They were too bland and the texture was not good. I would not recommend this recipe.

These were okay. They were a little bland for my taste, but they were still pretty good. I think I would add some more seasoning next time.

These were a bit more work than I expected, but they were worth it! They were so delicious and fluffy. I served them with some bacon and toast and it was a perfect breakfast.

I made these for my kids for breakfast and they loved them! They were really easy to make and the kids had fun helping me cook them. I will definitely be making these again.

These were so easy to make and turned out great! I used a little less milk than the recipe called for and they were still nice and fluffy. I served them with some fruit and whipped cream and they were a hit!
