Easy Breezy Bacon and Cheddar Quiche image

Easiest thing in the world to make and it is alway a hit! this is a staple at our yearly Christmas brunch.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 to 1 lb bacon fried crisp drained, broken into 1 inch pieces
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded fine
1 green onion chopped or 1 tablespoon of onion diced fine or 1 tablespoon of chives
1 9 inch pie crust- uncooked
2 c half anf half
4 large eggs
1/2 tsp dry mustard

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400. Prepare a 9 inch pie crust or use one that is from the dairy case. Do not prebake.
  • 2. Sprinkle the bacon on the bottom of the pan, spread the cheese over the bacon.
  • 3. In a bowl, beat the eggs and mustard until frothy.
  • 4. Stir in the half and half and onions
  • 5. Pour over cheese and bacon.
  • 6. Put on middle rack in oven, turn the temp to 350 degrees and cook 30-45 minutes until eggs are set. A knife stuck in the middle will come out clean.
