Who knew you can make fresh peaches even better by grilling them? These grilled peaches are simple to make, yummy, and just taste of summer. The marinade smells strong because of the bourbon, but in the end, they do not have a strong alcohol flavor. In fact, once they are grilled, the flavor is hardly noticeable. The bourbon just...

Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 c fresh peaches
1/2 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 c bourbon (your choice of brand)
1/4 c cold water

Steps:

  • 1. To make the marinade you combine brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, and water. Put in a plastic baggie.
  • 2. Then peel and slice your peaches about 1/4" thin and add to the marinade. Make sure all the peaches are in the marinade. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or longer if you can do this ahead of time.
  • 3. Make sure you oil your grill sheet or pan. Remove the peaches from the marinade. You don't have to save this unless you want to drink it ;). Put them on the grill sheet, put the tray on a medium heat side of the grill.
  • 4. Grill them, turning once, until warmed through. About 7-8 minutes per side.
  • 5. I add the peaches to some strawberries and blueberries. Slice angel food cake and top with Cool Whip. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my peaches didn't turn out as good as I expected. They were a little too boozy for my taste.
