Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup natural bran
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1/4 cup Splenda granular
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup cooking oil

Pour into the well in the flour mixture and stir to moisten (the batter will be lumpy). 5. Fill 12 greased muffin cups 3/4 full. 6. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes. 7. Let stand for about 5 minutes, then remove the muffins from the pan.

I'm not a fan of bran muffins, but these are actually pretty good. They're not too dry or crumbly, and they have a nice sweetness to them.

These muffins are easy to make and they're a great way to use up leftover bran cereal. I like to add a few chopped walnuts or raisins for extra flavor.

I'm not diabetic, but I'm always looking for healthier muffin recipes. These bran muffins are a great option - they're moist and flavorful, and they don't have a lot of added sugar.

These muffins are a lifesaver! I have diabetes and it's hard to find breakfast options that are both healthy and satisfying. These muffins are the perfect solution - they're low in sugar and high in fiber, and they taste great too.
