Della's Melt In Your Mouth Dessert image

Della makes this every year for our Church Christmas Dinner! What a Cook! She's 85 years old!

Number Of Ingredients 14

BOTTOM OF DESSERT THE COOKIE LAYER
1 1/4 c all purpose flour
1 c chopped nuts
1 stick butter
FOR THE TOP OF DESSERT
1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 c powdered sugar
9 oz cool whip use 4 oz for the making of the top layer
1 large pkg of chocolate instant pudding
1 small pkg of chocolate instant pudding
3 c milk from the large choc instant pudding
1 2/3 c milk from the smaller choc instand pudding
4 oz cool whip on top
if desired add cocoa powder, choc. shavings, or nuts to decorate

Steps:

  • 1. Take your stick of butter melted and place in a 9 x 13 pan. Roll it around the pan. Than add the flour and nuts mix together. This makes the buttom crust. Bake 15 minutes 350 degrees
  • 2. Place in a bowl the cream cheese, 1 cup of powdered sugar, and 1/2 the cool whip mix together. Place over the mixture.
  • 3. In a bowl make the large instant choc. pudding with 3 cups of the milk.
  • 4. Add 1 2/3 of milk from the smaller pkg of instant pudding mix to the bowl.
  • 5. Take the pan of chream cheese mixture and add the pudding mixture.
  • 6. Pour the other half of the cool whip on top and spread. Let set overnight with cellophane on the top.
  • 7. To decorate add the nuts, cocoa powder, or chocolate shavings. Done!
