Delicious Swiss Cheese and Chicken Casserole. Very Easy and Perf image

I got this recipe from my husband's 86 year old grandmother who is a marvelous hostess and entertainer even today.

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 chicken breasts, halved
12 slices swiss cheese, to cover chicken
1 (8 ounce) can cream of chicken soup or 1 (8 ounce) can mushroom soup
2 cups bread dressing (Pepperidge Farm works best)
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 cup butter

Steps:

  • 1. Thin and mix soup with wine.
  • 2. Moisten the dressing/bread crumbs with butter.
  • 3. Place chicken in casserole dish.
  • 4. Cover with cheese.
  • 5. Spread soup mixture over all.
  • 6. Cover with dressing and drop a few slices of butter over top.
  • 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
