Time 15m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 figs, chopped
4 dates, chopped
1/4 cup golden raisin
2 large softened garlic cloves
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/8 balsamic vinegar
1 dash koshar salt
ground pepper

Steps:

  • Slightly roast or soften garlic first, otherwise too bitter.
  • Whirl all the ingredients using a hand held electric blender; mine is a Cuisinart 200 watts Smart Stick that comes with a cup for the ingredients.
  • Very thick; experiment with different vinegars (red wine is also good).

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my dressing turned out really bitter. I think I might have used too much balsamic vinegar.

This dressing is a bit too thick for my taste. I think I'll add a little bit of water to thin it out.

I'm allergic to nuts, so I substituted the walnuts with sunflower seeds. It turned out great!

This dressing is a great way to use up leftover dates and figs. I always have a few of each in my fridge, so this is a perfect recipe for me.

I followed the recipe exactly and the dressing turned out really runny. I had to add more olive oil to thicken it up.

This dressing is a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try using less dates next time.

I'm not a huge fan of dates, but I really liked this dressing. The figs and balsamic vinegar balance out the sweetness of the dates perfectly.

This salad dressing is amazing! It's so flavorful and versatile. I've used it on salads, roasted vegetables, and even as a marinade for chicken. It's always a hit!
