Yield 2 to 3 dozen depending upon cookie cutter size.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon dill seed, crushed
3 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder

Steps:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs lightly, then slowly mix the sugar into the eggs. Once the sugar and eggs are combined, add the heavy cream. Into a large mixing bowl, sift the flour, salt and baking powder. Fold the egg mixture into the sifted flour mixture. Mix well and chill for 4 hours. Once you have taken the chilled dough from the refrigerator, perheat the oven to 350 degrees. On a lightly floured surface, roll out chilled dough and cut with small, round cookie cutter. Place a slivered almond on top of each cookie. Place on baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until done.

I've always loved the combination of sweet and savory. These dill cookies are just what I wanted! Not too salty, not too sweet. Just a hint of herby dill that really comes through after you swallow. Great recipe! 10/10

Easy and fast to put together! I was out of fresh dill so I used 1 tsp onion powder and 1/2 tsp garlic powder instead. They are light, crispy, and melt in my mouth. Perfect with a cup of tea in the afternoon.

Love the simplicity and freshness of these dill cookies! I'm used to crispy, buttery cookies, so this was a fun twist. I added a sprinkle of lemon zest for a little extra pop of brightness.

I'm not sure about this dill cookie recipe. I followed the instructions exactly, but the cookies turned out too dry and crumbly. Maybe I need to try a different recipe.

These cookies are absolutely divine! The dill adds a subtle, savory flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the sugar. They're so addictive, I can't stop snacking on them.
